FM to meet envoys over warnings

The Foreign Ministry this week will meet with the ambassadors of 16 countries which have not lifted travel warning against Thailand to be briefed on the situation which has improved, Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul said on Monday.

Mr Surapong said he had instructed Seehasak Puangketkaew, the permanent secretary for foreign affairs, to call in the ambassadors as a  specified period for a terror watch was now over.

The United States embassy told US citizens in its travel warning to take precautions against being in places in Thailand that were likely terrorist targets, particularly between Jan 13 and 15.

"... to be briefed on the situation which has improved ..." I do believe, that the ambassadors of these 16 countries, do have excellent sources to make their very own decisions.

The biggest threat to Thailand is the Thai people, they don't need terrorists or natural events, they can destroy this country all on their own
