More illegal items found in Khao Bin

More than 800 packets of cigarettes, pornographic magazines, cell phone chargers, gambling accessories and sharp improvised weapons were discovered during a police raid on Khao Bin Central Prison in in Ratchaburi province on Friday morning.

(Photo POST TODAY) Khao Bin chief Thanawee Prawat said a team of 300 police and correctional officers, along with three drug-sniffing dogs, scoured the prison's zone 5, where over 900 convicts are housed. All convicts in zone 5 are serving sentences of 30 years to life imprisonment.Mr Thanawee said authorities also found a cell phone with a SIM card hidden in a cell wall. There were outgoing calls made from the phone and officials will look for the location in Khao Bin where the mobile phone jammer is not blocking transmission and reception of signals.
