Predictably, the police are now saying this was not a terrorist act but rather an incident resulting from a 'dispute' among those involved.

Disc 1 - 'Muslim Terrorist' - Google it.
I bet you get more hits than the Lavon Affair.

Hmm: here is the news about Chinese embassy warning:

The Chinese Consulate General has issued a strong warning about travel to Chiang Mai, following a series of attacks on tourists including the recent brutal mugging of a woman at a temple.

The official website of the Chinese Consulate-General warns Chinese tourists of "numerous incidents of looting".

The warning was posted on the website of the Consulate General after a 36-year-old Chinese female tourist _ Liu Xiao Hong _ was battered about the head with wooden clubs early in the morning of Jan 25.

Warning for the Chinese being robbed, no demand from Thai government for the Chinese to contact the Thai governmnet before putting out the warning? No protestors in front of the Chinese embassy? May be it is the Jews' plot?

The American embassy is bashed for putting out terrorist warning?

The guy must be Achmed the dead terrorist son.

So the response by the National Police Chief to the recent alert was to launch a public relations exercise by walking through tourist areas with a bunch of other officials declaring them safe for everyone; maybe his response this time will be to actually do some real police work.

Obviously the bombs were not designed to blow up a school. My guess is any kind of Israeli institution or place were Israeli tourists gather. That we are not safe is as sure as death and taxes. Bombs can be made from ordinary household items and if someone wants to make one and use it polititians can assure as much as they want. I do not think Bangkok is the only target as we have already seen. There will be more to come, anywhere where Israel can be targeted, either directly or indirectly.

So where are the American bashers now? You should move your ptotesters from the front of the US embassy and go protest at the Iranian embassy instead.
Bombing in front of the school to kill Thai children?

I think this is a worthless statement and shows the mentality of the investigators. Quote'The Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, is contacting the government of Iran to check if the Iranian men are on its terrorist watch list, she said.
Who is carrying out these terrorist attacks? IRAN. So why should they be listed on their list of terrorists.??

This is a very serious business, but totally Keystone Cops. Three Iranians were spending the afternoon making bombs in a house in Bangkok (as one does) and accidentally cause an explosion. Two flee, and a third man followed and tried to hail a taxi, which refused to stop. Police said he threw a bomb at the taxi (as one does at a taxi that won't stop). He was spotted by police and threw a third bomb at them, but it bounced off a tree and blew his legs off. Life here is NEVER dull.
Interesting the man arrested at the airport was heading to Malaysia. Were those causing trouble in the South, with over 3500 killed, aiming to spread their terrorism to Bangkok? The only surprise would be that they haven't done so before.
The government and tourism office will now say that everyone is perfectly safe (except maybe the taxi driver), but tens of thousands of Chinese and Japanese and Korean toursits will cancel their trips - again.
