Suspected RKK member arrested

A joint paramilitary ranger and police force on Friday arrested a suspected key member of the separatist Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK) in Narathiwat’s Rangae district, reports said.

The security force raided three houses in Ban Kaemae in tambon Tanyongmas of Rangae about 11am, after receiving a tip off that the RKK member was hiding there.

They found and arrested Muhammadyuso Duereh, 25, wanted on two arrest warrants for murdering two teachers at Tanyongmas market on September 2010 and for shooting and seriously injuring a man in Tanyongmas on September 2010.

Pol Col Wara Vejchapinand, chief of Rangae police station, said Muhammadyusoh is a teacher at an Islamic school.
