Woman hurt in South grenade attack

A woman was wounded when a hand grenade was thrown into her shop and exploded in Pattani's Panare district on Monday afternoon.

Police said two men arrived on a motorcycle at the shop, which sells farm equipment and similar products, at Village Group 1 in tambon Khuan about 1pm.

One of them threw a hand grenade into the shop and the two then fled.

Muchalin Promloke, 45, the shop owner, was wounded by shrapnel in the explosion.  She was admitted to Pattani Hospital.
