Policeman slain in Narathiwat

A police sergeant was shot dead and his pistol stolen in tambon Khok Khian in Narathiwat's Muang district on Friday morning.
The duty officer at Khok Khian police station, said Pol Sgt Asisol Hemana, of Khok Khian police, was found shot dead at a venue for a dove singing contest.
The victim, 31, was shot in the head once and died instantly.
