its good to see such a high profile politican thats actually gone down to be amongst the southerners people, and get local people feedback of the situation, and what can be done to improve security and trust well done to that man

Abhisit's words would have more credability if he had done anything when he was PM.

Blame the soldiers, blame the police, blame the government, blame the drug traffickers... a long list of finger pointing without any tangible action plan by a man who is living up to his well-earned title as Thailand's chief NATO (no action talk only).

The people who voted for the Dems in the south has a right to know what the elected MPs, officials from the Dems are doing to improve the situation. Didn’t AV visit any of the shops to find out why they have to pay “protection fees” to rogue groups comprising of local officials, police and soldiers? Why didn’t AV explain what happened to the huge funds received by the local administrators in the south? Was any community development done to improve the situation? How are the local administrators cooperating with the army and the police to contain the violence? Or are they busy buying big houses, and "investing" in land plots and waiting for the next big violence to ask for more budget?

The draft dodger is already unable to win a national election even with the help of guns. If AV and the Dems are unable to fix the problems in their own power base, where is their credibility to make suggestions on national policies? Perhaps our friends in the south should boot out the Dems, call for local elections and give the Dems more time to pursue their obsession with tracking TS.

So Mr Abhisit....If your ideas ere so successful, why is it that the problem was not eradicated during your term? I think the real problem is that neither side the Muslim or the Buddhist are willing to genuinely look at and consider the other sides concerns and fears. I believe that if the local people were given some limited ability to govern the local politics it might help to build some bridges of understanding and a feeling of just policies which would then lead to less violence.
I think people generally turn to violence when they feel they justice is not being served equally. And I think that is what is happening in the South.

    Where is Yingluck? Chalerm? Priewpan?

Abhisit needs to do their work?
