2 slain, 3 hurt in Narathiwat (pix)

A soldier and a defence volunteer were killed and three other people wounded in three coordinated attacks in Rangae district of Narathiwat province on Tuesday, police said.

In the first attack, about 10am, a pick-up driven by Sgt-Maj Bang-ern Phanyu, 39, of the 45th Rangers Regiment, with two civilians on board was ambushed by gunmen as it arrived at Kujing Lupa School in tambon Chalerm of Rangae district on an assignment.

The pick-up truck skidded off the road and rammed into the wall of the school.

(Police said the attacks were clearly coordinated and blamed militants.) Who does not know all these bombing are coordinated by the militants but what can the government capable of solving these problems? Don't need to bring the whole army there since all these killings are randomly carried out. I believe there are very good snipers within the army and just off-the-book to assign these elite shooters at designated areas - and CONSTANTLY there. We should be able to bring a few down. Lets do it man, General Prayuth!
