The Malaysian home minister is blaming smuggling along the Thai-Malaysian border for the rise in the number of illegal firearms seized in Malaysia.
According to the Malaysian newspaper New Straits Times, Home Minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said smuggling across the border was one of the reasons behind the increase in the use of firearms in the country.
