1 killed, 4 hurt in Tak Bai: UPDATE

Three bomb and two gun attacks were launched by militants in Tak Bai district of Narathiwat province on Saturday night, wounding four people - a police officer and three civilians - while one militant was killed in an exchange of fire with marine police.

The attacks were launched at almost the same time at about 8pm in five spots.

The first attack took place at Sod Sai karaoke shop at Moo 4 in tambon Che He. A motorcycle with a 5kg bomb planted in it was left in front of the shop shortly before the explosion.

Instead of fannying around on Koh Tao and Koh Samui, the government would do better to visit Naratiwat and Yala.

Perhaps if Peua Thai were to apologise for Thaksin's offensive remarks that fasting for Ramadam killed the 78 young men stacked in an army truck in 2004, the resentment may ease. BTW Red Fans, there's no ambiguity about Thaksin's comments, so don't try to quote Suthep as some sort of tit-for-tat excuse as you normally do.
