SECURITY TIGHT FOR PITAK SIAM RALLY

Security is being stepped up at the Royal Turf Club in the Nang Loeng area for today's anti-government rally organised by the Pitak Siam group.

RED SEA: A caravan of red shirts cruises along Ratchadamnoen Avenue as part of a citywide rally to demand justice for those who died during April-May 2010 clashes with security forces. More than 1,000 vehicles joined the rally, which ended at Sala Daeng intersection in the Silom area, where core red shirt supporter Maj Gen Khattiya Sawatdiphol was fatally shot. The main differences were that Obama is an experienced politician, he was elected, and not selected by a cabal, he worked his way across the USA and went live on TV in debates. While some people may say he is a puppet of the...... put your own words here he does not have a convicted criminal brother outside the USA telling him what to do.

He is usually in the senate or house, sorry I am English and know little of the way the USA is governed, and is actively involved in running the country. To my knowledge few members of the house or senate are under investigation for criminal charges and NONE have immunity with the house i

Judging the photos of the rally, if you remove the "Monks" of Chamlong and the students sent by their parents (the poors), the "legitimate" rally pro dictatorship is far to be full. deceiving... but reassuring for Thailand.

#25, bangmodker, your sentence is amazing. The Yellows/dems, last year, would make a war for some square meters, they sent a spy in Cambodia and now you want to remove a large part of Thailand??? Some Thai people think they are more Thai than the others while others want to reduce Thailand to the only Bangkok. Fortunately, only a so small part.

This is not the way to go about changing things. IMHO the best thing that could happen would be to have a new party formed by some academic types and focus their energies on getting support and backing by some heavy hitters before the next elections take place. This new party should not include anyone that has been involved in previous government post and they should be serious about abolishing corruption, focus on a good education for all, and abolish the MP immunity law.

Thats the 1%. Hilliary Clinton seldom knows what she is talking about anyway, but point taken. Those things you mention have nothing to do with the polictical situation in Thailand, but the 1% doesnt care its the food, beaches cheap women, unfriendly taxi drivers on and on and on all the good things like you said

The REDs always counter a protest with a protest whenever the opponent of the government staged a public protest. Is this an intimation tactic to instill fear and/or diversion tactic to distract public attention? The UDD leaders, in the past, had always advocated the rights to “peaceful” public protests but why are they so much against their opponents for exercising their rights? Ultimately, it’s the collective will of the people who will decide the fate of the government.

Return the Isaan provinces to Laos and Cambodia. They are of no use whatsoever.

Judging by the article and the picture it would appear that the BP is affiliated towards the Red shirts. Why no pictures of the legitimate rally.

To peacefully demonstrate is a persons right in a democracy especially when something is so blatantly wrong with the way the country is being run.

You're wrong. The world knows where and what Thailand is.
Good food, nice beaches, cheap girls, cheating taxi drivers, unfriendly immigration officials, corruption all over. Did I forget any quality?
Guess one doesn't need to know more.
Whatever the government in charge - PTP, DEM, Military - who cares.
The world can do business with Thailand - everything is OK and no need to investigate any further.
Can you remember Hillary Clinton praising the democracy here? LOL
