Yingluck to oversee national security

PM decides against giving task to deputy

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has decided to take charge of national security policies herself, electing not to assign any deputy prime ministers to the role.

Speaking after a cabinet meeting yesterday to delegate responsibilities to deputy prime ministers, Ms Yingluck said none have been appointed to take charge of national security.
