Ex-kamnan slain in Pattani

A former kamnan was killed in a drive-by shooting in Pattani on Saturday afternoon, said Pol Lt-Col Jirasit Lorma, deputy chief of Mayo district police station.
The victim was identified as Arsi Hama, 63, a former kamnan of tambon Thanon.
Witnesses told police that Mr Arsi and his wife, Koreeyoh, 61, were travelling on a motorcycle on the Mayo-Yarang road at Ban Duwa in tambon Thanon when a gunman riding pillion on another motorcycle fired on him with a handgun.
