Water lizards startle US security detail

BANGKOK - United States Secret Service agents were reportedly taken aback on seeing the large water lizards wandering the grounds of Government House during security inspections on Thursday ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit.

They mistook them for the ferocious, carnivorous komodo dragons found in parts of Indonesia.

I wonder how startled the US security detail will be when these lizards start approaching and trying to shake Obama's hand... And yes #6 - the US is using ASEAN against China, and will exploit the tension created on both sides - it's stated explicitly in the last 20 years of their own policy papers.

If you do let them in, and I don't recommend it, make sure no military weapons or planes are allowed at there disaster relief base. Only disaster relief stuff.

    D3: LOL.

I trust the Thai news photographers are covering the city's 'entertainment' venues to catch the Secret Service at play? Should make Colombia look like a tea party.

"The return to U-Tapao would be very symbolic for the US, sending a message to China that it is returning to mainland South-East Asia,”

Yes. Because it went so well last time, I guess?

I think that I sometime saw monitor lizards inside the meeting rooms of Government House and the parliament...and they were wearing suits and ties.
