D18: Thanks for the source... it's been bugging me all evening. I do hope your own education is sufficient to appreciate the lesson though, because there is much yet to be learned about democracy, by you and the other followers of the fugitive puppet-master.

When I think about you and the people you apparently see as the true defenders of democracy, another quote by Voltaire comes to mind: "As long as people believe in absurdities they will continue to commit atrocities."

#16, i like when a so called educated give lessons to others. So i can learn that Voltaire was a famous American. We can buy the graduate if the parents are riches but not the culture. I like also how the dictatorship always invoke the democracy when it dreams to destroy it. And the the freedom of expression never accept the racism, the incitation to the violence and the sedition.

Good for you. The absurdly complainers.

One of the former Prime Ministers said this, " You're just as good or bad as your representatives " ...

    Think about it.

D14: Firstly there is no record of anyone in the rally saying that they are planning to "hijack the prime minister". Only Chalerm and his friends said that to smear the opposition. And freedom of speech has everything to do with saying even unpopular things.

A famous American once said to one of his opponents "I violently disagree with everything you say, but I would lay down my life to defend your right to say it".

THAT is freedom of expression in a real democracy my friend!

The police or DSI should start grilling Boonlert and his rally associates by now. Otherwise it gives the people a wrong impression that there is no big deal to call for a "topple the government" rally or even a coup.

I guess most pro pitak posters here come from some underdeveloped jungle states, why not go to Washington and try out same?If you are lucky enough they won't put a bullet into your head,"i overthrow the country or hijack the prime minister" has nothing to do with freedom of speech.

Thank you bikeme, you just proved my point #8 with all the fan fare and hullabalu high epections and 1,000,000 people and it all flopped thats what I meant but the opposition looks like the fools not the PTP.

All a bunch of hot air!

  • Discussion 12 : 26 Nov 2012 at 17.2812

How funny is this people rallying against the democracy and accusing the other camp to be dictator because it files a complaint to the justice. But difficult "to expect normal reactions" from people full of hatred and bile.

D4 watchdog - In most mature democracies, you can say what you want, the only time you break the law is when you put your thoughts into action. Boonlert said "IF" he was in charge of the army he would do such & such ... well he isn't in charge of the army so his statements are meaningless hot air, not treason.
