Six paramilitary rangers patrolling in an armoured car were injured by a bomb explosion on a road in Narathiwat’s Cho Airong district on Friday morning, reports said.
The bomb went off on a local road in Ban Aipayae of Cho Airong district. The armoured car the rangers were travelling in was partly damaged.
It was reported that a gun battle between the rangers and gunmen hiding in the roadside forest was still going on.
A joint force of police and soldiers was on its way to the scene.
