Two people were killed and three wounded in separate attacks in the restive South yesterday, including a pickup truck driver who was shot dead as school children on board his vehicle looked on.

Two men riding on a motorcycle attacked a pickup truck transporting seven students to Rueso kindergarten in Narathiwat's Rueso district about 7.30am, Pol Col Anothai Jindamanee, superintendent of Rueso police station, said.
