Volunteer shot in Pattani

A defence volunteer was shot and critically injured in Panare district of Pattani province on Friday afternoon, police said. 

He was identified as Abdulloh Pohkoh, 42, a defence volunteer of Panare district.

Pol Col Manit Yimsai, chief of Panare police station, said witnesses told police that Mr Abdolloh was parking his motorcycle in front of a mosque at Ban Nambor in tambon Nambon Nambor of Panare when a gunman arrived on a motorcycle, walked up to him and shot him in the head at close range.
