NSC wins Jakarta plan backing

Experts embrace wider peace talks, urge caution

A key player from the previous government, a former security leader and a human rights expert have cautiously welcomed expanding the far South peace talks to take in Indonesia. 

The National Security Council (NSC) has asked Indonesia to help in the peace-building process.

Panitan Wattanayagorn, former PM's deputy secretary-general for political affairs in the Abhisit Vejjajiva government, supported Indonesian involvement.
