Eight soldiers providing security for teachers were slightly injured by a bomb explosion on a road in Yala’s Raman district on Thursday morning, reports said.
The explosion occurred about 7.50am when the soldiers of Yala Task Force 21 were travelling in a military GMC truck along the rural road at Ban Balor in tambon Balor of Raman.
The wounded soldiers were taken to Raman hospital.
Police blamed separatist militants.
The fasting month of Ramadan started on Wednesday and the first day was violence free.
