The 2nd Cavalry Regiment will on Thursday move 42 armoured personnel carriers from two bases in Bangkok to Lop Buri province for a field-training exercise.

The royal guards will take the APCs to Ban Deerang in Patthana Nikhom district, army deputy spokeswoman Sirichan Ngathong announced Wednesday.

Col Sirichan said that, starting at 5am tomorrow, the 42 APCs will roll from their bases in the Kiak Kai and Sanam Pao areas to Phahon Yothin railway station.  From there, they will be moved via train for Khok Krathiam railway station in Lop Buri.

On March 8, starting 7pm, the APCs will be delivered back to Bangkok and their bases on the same routes.

The army apologises for any inconvenience it may cause, she said.
