Bombs hurt 6 in Pattani

Two bombs exploded in Pattani province on Wednesday morning, wounding six soldiers and defence volunteers, reports said.

The first bombing occurred  about 7.35am in Khok Pho district when soldiers from Infantry Company 3021 of Pattani Task Force 21 were patrolling near Cheda village in tambon Bang Kroh.

Three soldiers were wounded: Pvt Anand Nuansri, 23, Pvt Chaiyan Lasichan, 22, and Cpl Kittisak Moleechart, 26.

The other bomb went off at Moo 2 village in tambon Trang of Mayo district about 8.40am while a team of defence volunteers was on patrol there.

Wounded in the explosion were volunteers Somkhuan Chuduang, Kanong Chaimanee and Anatchai Nuankaew.
