A total of 143 more websites were found to have lese majeste content and have been blocked, Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc) spokesman Banpot Poonpian said on Monday.
Col Banpot said the 143 websites had a total of 5,258 pages.
The Information and Communication Technology had been informed about the websites, and had blocked 3,426 of the page URLs associated with the websites, he said.
He said the content on the pages was intended to undermine the monarchy.
Col Banpot said the report on Isoc's operations to safeguard and cherish the monarchy ws presented to a meeting of army commanders of all levels chaired by Gen Udomdej Sitabutr, the army chief and deputy Isoc director.
The meeting also received a report on work carried under the 2015 budget to develop information technology and data bases for solving problems in the southern border provinces.
Gen Udomdej stressed the need for all units to make concrete achievements in various fields, Col Banpot said.
