Struggling Nakhon Ratchasima ended a 10-match winless run in the Thai League with a 1-0 victory over Pattaya United to give their new coach Milos Joksic an ideal start yesterday.

In the other early game yesterday, Anurak Srikerd also had a big sigh of relief as Bangkok Glass rallied to edge Sukhothai 2-1 at their home ground.

At Nakhon Ratchasima Stadium, the Swat Cats picked up three points for the first time since mid-March.

Chanatpol Sikhamonthon's strike in the 13th minute was all what Nakhon Ratchasima needed as they never wilted under the attacks mounted by Pattaya United.

Bangkok Glass also put the bitter memories of their League Cup exit on Wednesday behind and gave their coach Anurak some breathing space. The Glass Rabbits had lost 1-0 to League One side Port in the mid-week match.

A silence gripped Bangkok Glass' Leo stadium when the visiting Sukhothai's Katano Hiromichi converted a penalty in the 39th minute.

After conceding the goal, Bangkok Glass hit back a minutes later to equalise through a strike from Surachart Sareepim.

In the second half, Sukhothai had a chance to go ahead again but John Baggio's shot was saved by Bangkok Glass goalkeeper Narit Taweekul.

The hosts scored the winner in the 65th minute when Surachart Sareepim headed home a corner kick.

Bangkok Glass switched to playing long balls to pressurise Sukhothai and had a couple of opportunities to add to their tally but in vain.

SCG Muang Thong United will be in action today when they face Chainat and arch foes Buriram United, led by captain Suchao Nutnum, will be taking on Ratchaburi.
