Phuket: Better breeze and a single long race off the island's southeast coast threw up some challenges for the sailors, and also shook up the leaderboard, on the third day of the 2016 Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek yesterday.

Despite being the oldest of the TP52s competing in the IRC One, Ray Roberts and his crew on Millenium Racing were first to cross the finish line and win the single race of the day.

With the win, they opened up a gap of two points at the top.

Peter Ahern's Oi! are still in the hunt but will need to put in a flawless final day performance today to topple the series leaders.

Emagine sailed an excellent race to dominate the IRC Two and claimed the daily double ahead of Singapore's Loco with the Australian team on Fujin securing their first podium of the competition in third.

Phoenix were back on the pace in the IRC Three claiming an important win which put them top of the standings, while Sailescapes Farrgo Express and Foreign Affair finished second and third on the day respectively.

The British team on Absolute One Design in the One Design Platu Class claimed their first win yesterday, relegating the all-female crew on Lagoon Fox to second and Clement Lim's Lagoon Weasel to third.
