RIO DE JANEIRO - Margarita Mamun won the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around gold medal at the Rio Olympics on Saturday to give Russia its fifth consecutive title in the event.

Russian teammate Yana Kudryavtseva came second, with Ukraine's Ganna Rizatdinova claiming bronze.

World champion Kudryavtseva had led for three of the apparatus routines -- ball, hoop and ribbon -- but failed to catch one of her clubs and had to settle for silver.

Mamun, 20, scored 76.483 points with Kudryavtseva, the 2013, 2014 and 2015 world champion, achieving 75.608 and Rizatdinova, 73.583.

Russia has also won five Olympic Games in a row in duets and team synchronised swimming.
