SCG Muang Thong United coach Totchtawan Sripan is likely to rest star players Teerasil Dangda and Chanathip Songkrasin for the match against Sukhothai tomorrow as the Thai League resumes this weekend after a two-week international break.
Leaders Muang Thong have 71 points and are three ahead of Bangkok United, who are the only team in the league which can overtake the Kirins in this year's title race.
Bangkok United will be away at Si Sa Ket tomorrow.
Muang Thong travel to Sukhothai with their key players back from international duty.
While most of them are fit, Teerasil and Chanathip are still suffering from minor injuries.
Muang Thong coach Totchtawan said: "We may rest Teerasil and Chanathip in this game because they sustained minor injuries while playing for the national team. We don't want them to aggravate the problem.
"It is good that of our nine players who were in the national team, only Teerasil and Chanathip have pulled muscles and the rest are all fit."
"We had a full training session and we will soon select the players for the match against Sukhothai.
"We are aiming for three points and hope that we will continue our stay at the top of the league."
Sukhothai coach Somchai Chuayboonchum said: "It will be a tough match for us, but we will try to get a point."
Bangkok United face a tricky task at Si Sa Ket who are strong at home.
Bangkok United announced yesterday they have joined force with CP Group to find young stars to feed the club.
Defending champions Buriram United have moved up to third spot in the table, but their chances of retaining their league title are over.
Buriram have a tough assignment today as they take on Bangkok Glass.
Buriram manager Tatthep Pitakpoolsin said: "We must try to win this home game. It won't be an easy task for us because Bangkok Glass are a strong team.
"We will be without Diogo Luis Santo who is suspended and Korakot Wiriyaudomsiri is still on the list of injured players.
"Our revised target is to finish third this season."
Buriram have 52 points from 28 matches and they hold a one-point edge over Bangkok Glass.
Meanwhile, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) announced yesterday that Warrix Sport Company has won the rights to produce apparels for the Thailand national teams.
The contract will be in place for four years, starting next year.
Grand Sport has retained the rights to produce and sell all equipment used for all FAT tournaments in the country.
