Teenage Pannarat Thanapolboonyarat claimed her first professional title, winning the 2016 Thailand LPGA Masters by three strokes on Friday.

The 18-year-old Pannarat, who has just dropped off the LPGA Tour, carded five birdies for a 67 on the final day, which gave her a three-round total of 12-under 204 at Bangkok's Panya Indra Golf club.

The Roi Et-native Pannarat took home the winner's purse of 600,000 baht.

Benyapa Niphatsophon had a fine round of 66 yesterday to claim second spot and earn 400,000 baht at the four-million-baht tournament, which was co-sanctioned by the Australian LPGA Tour.

Pannarat was ecstatic after capturing the maiden title of her professional career.

"I am extremely happy to win my first professional event," said Pannarat, who next participates in a tournament in China.

Pannarat made her LPGA Tour debut this year.

Unfortunately, she has failed to keep her tour card after managing to make the cut in only seven world professional events, forcing her to join the final stage of the LPGA qualifying school later this year.

Kanphanitnan Muangkumsakul posted a 70 to finish third on eight-under 208, while Saranporn Langkulkasettrin (69) was fourth, just a stroke behind.

Fellow LPGA Tour professional Budsabakorn Sukhapan, who started the day tied with Pannarat and one shot ahead of the field, struggled on the last day and slumped to fifth place.

Budsabakorn had two birdies against three bogeys yesterday to settle for a six-under 260 total.

Patcharajutar Kongkraphan moved up to tie Wanchana Poruangrong (72) for sixth spot on three-under 213.

Former Thailand national team player Supamas Saengchan reeled off five birdies and one bogey for a 68 to finish eighth on two-under 214.

The Thailand Masters was the season-ending event on the Thai LPGA Tour this year.

In another development, Udorn Duagdecha moved closer to his first title on the ThaiPGA Tour after a third-round 68 at the eighth leg of the Singha SAT Championship on Friday.

Udorn took a three-shot lead on 15-under 198 at the par-71 Watermill Golf & Gardens in Nakhon Nayok.

Pavit Tangkamolprasert (68) and Pijit Petchkasem (69) were tied for second on 12-under 201, while Poom Saksansin, who carded a superb 62 on Friday, and Peradol Panyathanasedh (69) were joint fourth and only a shot behind.

Seeking his first tour title and the winner's cheque of 435,000 baht, Poom had 10 birdies and one bogey.

Namchok Tantipokhakul fired two eagles but faltered with a final-hole bogey to end the third day with a 65 to stay sixth on nine-under 204.
