Thailand's Pasin Lathouras ended his first season in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with a tough three-hour race at the Nuerburgring last weekend when he retired in the gruelling affair.
The world's biggest series exclusively reserved for GT cars headed to the Nuerburgring last week for the fifth and final round of the year.
The season finale followed races at Monza, Silverstone, Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps.
The 22-year-old Thai driver certainly enjoyed a very competitive learning season.
Driving for AF Corse team alongside Italians' Michele Rugolo and Alessandro Pier Guidi, it was a very rewarding year with Pasin unlocking a lot of pace with his Ferrari.
He finished second at the Paul Ricard 1,000 km for his best result of the season.
This was Pasin's third season in Europe -- he raced in the British GT in 2014 and the International GT Open in 2015.
Pasin said: "It wasn't quite the way we wanted to end the season for sure, but nevertheless I think there are an awful lot of positives we can draw from the weekend and I'm very pleased with my race pace.
"It was another new track to learn. In the race I had oil come onto the windscreen from another car almost immediately at the start and there was hardly any visibility so I just had to try to conserve positions and dig in and get to the end of the stint driving defensively, which I was able to do.
"Michele and Alessandro did a great job as usual and I would like to thank them, they have driven superbly all year and been great teammates and friends and I have learnt a lot from them.
"The team also did a superb job all year and it's been really good to drive for them for another year. I've enjoyed Blancpain GT immensely, it's as tough as it gets but that's where I have needed to be although there is nowhere to hide if you make an error."
