Atthaya Thitikul won the Class A and B overall title at the Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Championship in Hua Hin yesterday.

Competing in the girls' Class B event at Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, the 13-year-old Atthaya posted a final-round 71 for a 290 total.

With her final score being the best in all four Class A and B events for boys and girls, she went on to claim the overall title.

Bernice Olivarez-Ilas of the Philippines (72), who finished second on 303, moved up to take the top honours for the girls' Class B category.

Together with Phisitkhwan Poorapanaopa, Ratchaburi-born Atthaya also helped Thailand land the women's team title on 589. The Philippines came second on 598 and Czech Republic third on 621.

In the boys' Class B event, Supakit Seelanagae (76) finished second on 306, two shots behind winner Australia's Hayden Hopewell, who shot a closing 74. Another Thai Denwit Boriboonsub (75) was third on 307, while overnight leader Filip Raza of the Czech Republic slipped to a fourth-place finish on 309 following his 82.

In the boys' Class A event, the title went to Andric Jose Chan of the Philippines, who beat Frimodt Gustav of Denmark on the first play-off hole. They were level on 293 after 72 holes. Two shots behind at third was Carl Jano Corpus of the Philippines (74), while Parathakorn Suyasri (70) was the best Thai in the event, finishing fourth on 297.

Andric also helped the Philippines win the team event on 584, 11 strokes better than second-placed Thailand. Denmark were third on 602.

In the girls' Class A event, Harmie Nicole Constantino of the Philippines claimed the victory when she fired a final-round 74 for a 292, finishing seven shots ahead of Phisitkhwan (74).
