VAL-D'ISèRE (FRANCE) - Norway's Kjetil Jansrud won Friday's Super-G at Val d'Isere, for his 15th World Cup success, ahead of compatriot Aksel Lund Svindal and Italy's Dominik Paris.

Norway's Kjetil Jansrud competes in the FIS Alpine World Cup Men Super G in Val d'Isere in the French Alps on December 2, 2015

The 31-year-old Olympic champion clocked 1min 21.66sec to finish 0.17 ahead of Svindal, making his comeback from a knee injury, with Paris at 0.41 in the first speed race of the season.

It was his seventh win in the discipline which was switched to the French Alpine resort after lack of snow in the US resort of Beaver Creek, with last week's race in Lake Louise also cancelled.

Svindal, 33, was making his comeback after injuring cruciate ligaments in his right knee during a fall in the downhill at Kitzbuehel, Austria last January.
