Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk and Pornpawee Chochuwong won the titles at the SCG All Thailand 2016 yesterday.

In the finals of the annual competition, top seed Tanongsak lived up to his billing, taking just 48 minutes to beat Adulrat Namkul 21-19, 21-13 in the men's singles final.

World No.11 Tanongsak won the title for the first time and it was his second trophy on home soil this year after winning the Thailand Open in October. Adulrat finished runner-up for the second time after being beaten by Boonsak Ponsana in the 2014 edition.

The big upset was in the final of the women's singles.

The 18-year-old Pornpawee, who pulled off a surprise victory over world No.12 and top seed Porntip Buranaprasertsuk in the semi-finals, continued her remarkable run. She fought back to stun second seed and defending champion Busanan Ongbumrungphan 18-21, 21-14, 21-17.

It was a sweet revenge for the world No.48 after her loss to Busanan in the last year's final. Currently ranked 13th in the world, Busanan also won the title in 2013.

Tanongsak and Pornpawee, second in the world junior rankings, took home 100,000 baht each, while Adulrat and Busanan received 50,000 baht each.

In the women's doubles -- a rematch of last year's final -- top seeds Puttita and Sapsiree Taerattanachai defeated second seeds Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai 2-1 (11-21, 21-16, 21-16). Last year, they lost to Jongkolphan and Rawinda in straight sets.

In the men's doubles, second seeds Kittinupong Kedren and Dechaphol Puavaranukhro successfully defended their title with a 21-15, 20-22, 21-15 victory over Pakin Khuna-anuvit and Supak Jomkoh. Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai beat Supak Chomkao and Puttita Supachirakul 21-17, 21-18 in the mixed doubles decider.

The winners in the doubles events earned 120,000 baht each, while the runners-up got 60,000 baht each.
