Coach Totchtawan Sripan is considering fielding an under-strength side this evening when his SCG Muang Thong United battle with Police Tero in Thai League 1.

The Kirins have just returned from Australia following a goalless tie with Brisbane Roar and are scheduled to host J-League giants Kashima Antlers for their second Group E game of the AFC Champions League (ACL) game on Tuesday.

Totchtawan has expressed his intention to rotate players for the defending Thai League 1 champions' away match against Police Tero at Boonyachinda Stadium.

"We have just come back from Australia and many players are still exhausted," Totchtawan said yesterday.

"We have two tough games ahead. We are trying to get the players ready for the Thai League game because it is important for us to keep the momentum going.

"It is an important game, but it is equally important to give rest to some of the keys players so that they can perform at their peak against Kashima Antlers in the ACL next week."

Striker Teerasil Dangda may be rested against Police Tero.

Totchtawan added: "Playing against Tero has never been easy for us, and we don't have an enviable record against them.

"We will try to put together our best team so that we can claim three points from the match."

Police Tero manager Thanya Wongnak said: "This is a big game for us and we want our fans to come and cheer us. It will surely be an exciting game.

"We don't have any injured players. Our president, Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda, has told me that we must try to win this match."

In another important fixture, four-time champions Buriram United host Pattaya United, who upset Chonburi last week, at their I-Mobile Stadium in the early match today.

Buriram coach Ranko Popovic said: "Rogerio Coutinho will not be available to play in this match due to an injury but he is back for training.

"However, we have other players like Supachok Sarachart and Solvi Ottesen who can play.

"We also have Suchao Nutnum and Diogo Luis Santo ready for the match so the target is to get three points."

Pattaya United coach Surapong Kongthep said he would be content if his team could earn a point from the away game.
