SCG Muang Thong United coach Totchtawan Sripan is convinced his men can steal three points from J-League champions Kashima Antlers when they face off in an AFC Champions League Group E match tonight.

However, Totchtawan also tried to tone down his enthusiasm by adding that he expected a tough match at Supachalasai Stadium, from where Fox Sports 3 will televise the game live starting 7.30pm.

The Kirins, winners of the Thai League 1 title last year, have one point from a goalless draw at Brisbane Roar, while Kashima Antlers have three points from a 2-0 home win over Ulsan Hyundai.

Totchtawan told yesterday's press conference: "It is good that most of our players are fit and ready to take on Kashima Antlers.

"We are hoping for a win to help the team gain more confidence. Our target is quite simple: We want to reach the knockout stage."

Kashima coach Ishii Masatada said: "We arrived here only yesterday and that might affect our performance. Muang Thong have many national team players, so we can expect an exciting match. We are seeking three points."

Meanwhile, Chiang Rai United were held to a 1-1 draw by Ratchaburi in their Thai League 1 game on Sunday night. Totsawat Limwannasatien put Chiang Rai in front in the 58th minute only for Marcel Essombe to equalise in the 78th minute.

In the other game, Chonburi continued their winless run with a goalless draw with Nakhon Ratchasima.
