After over a month of negotiations, national football team coach Kiatisak Senamuang on Tuesday signed a new one-year contract to continue in the job until next February.

The contract signing came after the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) sent notice to Kiatisak that if he did not agree to the contract's terms and conditions spelled out by the FAT by today he would be out of a job.

FAT president Somyot Poompunmuang was authorised to represent the association in the signing of the contract with the company owned by Kiatisak, a former Thailand striker popularly known as Zico.

The two sides had disagreed on tax payments. It was finally agreed that 3% withholding tax will be deducted from the payment, and that the company itself pay the 7% value-added tax.

It was also agreed Kiatisak would find his own staff.
