Thai players have earned automatic qualifications for all five categories of the BWF World Championships 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland later this year.

Ratchanok Intanon, Busanan Ongbamrungphan and Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk will all make appearances at the Aug 21-27 event after the latest world rankings were unveiled by the World Badminton Federation (BWF) on Thursday, the last date to determine the eligibility of players for the world meet.

A member country can field four players in one event if they are ranked in the top eight, three players if they are ranked in the top 24, and two if they are ranked between 25-150.

Apart from world No.12 Tanongsak, 46th-ranked Khosit Phetpradap has also earned automatic qualification for the 64-player men's singles field, while world No.16 Nitchaon Jindapol will join No.10 Ratchanok and No.12 Busanan in the 32-player women's singles event.

At the age of 18, Ratchanok became the youngest world champion after she beat the then Olympic champion Li Xuerui of China in the 2013 final in Guangzhou.

She lost in the quarter-finals at the ongoing Asia Championships in Wuhan, China.

Thailand will have two teams each in the three doubles events in Glasgow.

World No.13 Bodin Isara and Nipitphon Phuangphuapet and No.29 Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Kittinupong Kedren have earned places in the 48-pair men's doubles main draw.
