Former world junior number one Noppawan Lertcheewakarn won her third professional tournament yesterday when she beat Shio Akita in the ITF Women's Circuit event in Tuskuba, Japan.
The 18-year- old overcame Akita in two comfortable sets of 6-4 and 6-1.
The world number 331 had won ITF Circuit competitions in Indonesia and Chiang Mai two years ago.
