Argentina edge Brazil in South American thriller
Argentina held on through 13 lead changes and 11 tied scores to beat Brazil 93-89 here Tuesday to set up a date with Lithuania in the world basketball championships quarter finals.

Brazil and Argentina were inseparable through the opening quarter with no team leading by more than four points. It was fitting that the quarter ended with scores tied at 25, which also made it one of the highest scoring opening quarters in the tournament to date.
