Zvonareva advances, No.2 Cibulkova out
PATTAYA : Tamarine Tanasugarn is the only Thai survivor in the PTT Pattaya Open after four other local hopefuls were sent crashing out in the first round at Dusit Thani Hotel yesterday.
Tamarine Tanasugarn will take on Chang Kai-chen of Taiwan in the second round today.
World No.94 Tamarine, who will turn 35 in May, made it through to the second round after her opponent Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan pulled out with heat exhaustion while trailing 4-2 in the second set.
