Austria's Marlies Schild won her 33rd World Cup slalom event here on Saturday, taking her to within one race of the overall record held by Switzerland's Vreni Schneider.

Schild recovered from a fifth-place showing in the first leg to defeat Sweden's Frida Hansdotter by 0.60sec, with Schild's compatriot Kathrin Zettel third, 0.86sec back.
