Hertha Berlin on Sunday sacked coach Michael Skibbe after just five games in charge in the wake of his team's 5-0 hammering at VfB Stuttgart in the German league, report German daily Bild.

Hertha Berlin have sacked coach Michael Skibbe (pictured) after just five games in charge in the wake of his team's 5-0 hammering at VfB Stuttgart in the German league, reports German daily Bild.

The 46-year-old took over at the start of the year after Hertha dismissed Markus Babbel as coach just before Christmas, but under his stewardship Berlin lost all five matches with Skibbe at the helm.
