Apisit Nimnual hit a six-under-par 66 in the third round for a one-shot lead at the Singha SAT Championship at the Watermill Golf and Garden in Nakhon Nayok yesterday.
Apisit, 33, made six birdies in a bogey-free round for a 202 total. He was one stroke ahead of second-round leader Kwanchai Tannil who shot a 69.
Jiramet Chantarothai (68) and Annop Tangkamolprasert (67) were third on 204.
"My tee shots were good and I missed only three fairways," Apisit said. "My iron play was also good. I got most of my birdies from short putts."
Apisit would have built a bigger lead had he not missed a five-foot putt on the final greeen.
Veteran Thaworn Wiratchant fired a 67 for 207 in the 1.5 million baht Thailand PGA Tour event.
