Slammers trump Smokers

SAMRONG : The Penalty Spot Slammers scored late in the third period then early in overtime to knock off the Roadhouse Smokers 4-3 in high-tempo Thai-World Hockey League action.
In game one, the DPelican Inn Flyers broke the game open in the final frame to defeat the BNH Hospital Blades 4-1 on Sunday and keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Smokers Tawin Chartsuwan , captain Joe Doan, and Jason Tuckett tallied.
Slammers blue-liner Ralf Dittmer corralled a puck at the blue line and blasted a seething slap shot through the goalies five-hole.
Netminder Lance Parker, finishing with 30 saves, stymied two breakaway attempts with the Slammers pressing to tie the game, his nicest a sprawling glove save on what looked to be a sure goal.
In OT, Pasit Jirachai stripped the Smokers defenceman of the puck, streaked down the ice alone, and blazed a hard wrist shot into the low corner of the net for the winner.
Earlier Oscar Sala fired a loose puck in to get the Flyers on the board, but Blades captain Todd Switzer replied quickly on a two-on-one with a hard wrister through the wickets.
Anun Kulligan scored on an end-to-end solo dash, Scott Murray roofed the puck, and Michael White fired a shot top shelf to put the final nail in the Blades coffin.
