Kirins go top after 2-0 win

SCG Muang Thong United moved to the top of the Thai Premier League after beating BB-CU 2-0 at the SCG stadium yesterday.

Muang Thong United are now on top with 15 points from seven games.

Second-placed Buriram United did not play this weekend because of Tuesday night's AFC Champions League clash against Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol.

At Nong Prue stadium, hosts Pattaya United and Isan United drew 2-2. Pattaya captain Niweat Siriwong gave his side the lead after just two minutes with a stunning 35-yard free-kick.

Paul Ekollo then made it 2-0 with 13 minutes left but late goals from Thana Chanaboot (80th) and Phichitchai Jiewkuntod (88th) earned Pattaya a point.

At Tinasulanonda stadium in Songkhla, hosts Wuachon United put on an impressive performance to beat Army United 2-0 with Kirati Kaewsombut (32nd) and Manop Sornkaew (40th) providing the goals.

At Chonburi stadium, Chonburi FC beat Osotspa M-150 Saraburi 3-1.

Therdsak Chaiman put the Sharks ahead in the 27th minute before Chananan Pombupha equalised in the 51st minute for Osotspa.

However, Sukree Etae regained the lead for the Sharks in the 79th minute before Therdsak wrapped things up.

At TOT stadium, Insee Police United defeated hosts TOT SC 2-1. Pokklao Anan put Police 1-0 ahead in the third minute.

In the second half, Asamin Mae of the Police made it 2-0 before Diego Costa got a goal back for TOT late on.
