British triple jumper Phillips Idowu abruptly pulled out of the London Diamond League meeting here Saturday despite earlier insisting he was fully fit.

British triple jumper Phillips Idowu (pictured in 2011) has abruptly pulled out of the London Diamond League meeting in London despite earlier insisting he was fully fit.

The 33-year-old Olympic silver medallist had assured supporters last week he was on course for the London Games despite a long lay-off this season which has seen him compete just three times.
