Thai LPGA president Patinya Kuantrakul said the one million baht event, the sixth leg of the year, will be held at Black Mountain Golf Club.

"Only small details including the date need to be sorted out," said Patinya.

"It is one million baht tournament."

There are five legs in this year's calendar with the next one, the fourth, taking place at Green Valley Country Club on Aug 29-31.

The 48-year-old Patinya, who was elected as the Thai LPGA president in March, is happy with how the job is going but admitted she faced certain tough challenges.

"One thing that is really tough is getting sponsors to support the tournament," she said.

On Saturday, Patinya held a party to celebrate the success of three Thai golfers. Pornanong Phatlum (Brazil Cup), Rungthiwa Pangjan (Shanghai Classic) and Thanaporn Kongkiatkrai (Harun Energy Championship in China) have all tasted success recently.

Sports Authority of Thailand governor Kanokphan Julakasem, who was also at the party, admitted the association only has a small budget but he was impressed by Thailand's female golfers.

"The SAT is ready to lends its support but the association needs to focus on increasing its number of players as well as improving the overall quality of Thai golf," he said.
