First gold for Serbia, history for Gabon in taekwondo

Milica Mandic won Serbia's debut gold of the London Games Saturday as Anthony Obame made history with Gabon's first ever Olympic medal in the women's and men's heavyweight taekwondo.

France's Anne-Caroline Graffe (blue) fights against Serbia's Milica Mandic during their women's taekwondo gold medal bout in the +67 kg category as part of the London 2012 Olympic games. Mandic beat Graffe 9-7 to win the women's over-67kg taekwondo title.

Obame lost to Carlo Molfetta of Italy on a judges decision in the men's final, but he was still able to celebrate a huge achievement for his west African country -- recognised by a phone call from his President Ali Bongo.
