Jets lose Revis to left knee injury

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis will likely miss the remainder of the National Football League season after surgery to repair a torn left knee ligament, coach Rex Ryan said.

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, pictured in July 2012, will likely miss the remainder of the National Football League season after surgery to repair a torn left knee ligament, coach Rex Ryan said.

Revis was injured on Sunday in the third quarter of a 23-20 over-time victory over Miami and Ryan announced on Monday that he would require surgery and likely not return until next season.
