Itthipat joins elite company with title

Itthipat Buranatanyarat and Benyapa Niphatsophon were crowned champions at the 78th Singha Thailand Amateur Open at Panya Golf Club on Friday.

Itthipat, 19, closed with a one-under-par 71 to win the men's title on 272 _ nine shots ahead of second-placed Sri Lanka's Thankaraja, who fired a final 75 for 281.
