Guan watches Goss narrow the gap

CHON BURI : China's teenage star Guan Tianlang carded an even-par 72 in the third round yesterday for a two-shot lead over Australian Oliver Goss in the fourth Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.

China’s Guan Tianlang maintained his lead for the third successive day.

Having led from the first day with rounds of 66 and 64, Guan, 14, remained at 14-under, but big-hitting Goss, a quarter-finalist at this year's US Amateur Championship, closed in on his playing partner with a bogey-free 69 at Amata Spring Country Club.
